About Our Station
Founded in 1991, 88.3 WFEN is Rockford’s full-power, live and local Christian radio station. Owned and operated by Faith Center, The Lighthouse combines contemporary Christian and worship music with local personalities, family programs, biblical teaching and community-focused ministry.
Our mission
To shine the light of Christ through music and ministry, offering encouraging, family-friendly programming that affirms faith, inspires listeners and helps transform lives.

Rockford native John Tallacksen began in radio in 2005 and joined WFEN in March 2008. He hosts weekday morning and midday programming and shares his longtime love of Southern Gospel and Christian country every Saturday on Gospel Country.
