About Our Station
KGNZ 88.1 Life Changing Music is a locally owned and operated Christian radio ministry serving Abilene and the Big Country. On the air since March 9, 1981, its 91,000-watt signal broadcasts around the clock with contemporary Christian music, worship, Bible teaching, family programming, news, and community ministry. KGNZ also reaches listeners through regional translators and its online stream.
Our mission
KGNZ exists to broadcast the Gospel—mostly through music—into homes, cars, and businesses wherever people need to be taught, prayed for, and encouraged; to encourage unity and cooperation among the Body of Christ; and to be a positive, wholesome, godly influence in the community.
WHAT WE PLAY
Programming
KGNZ combines current Christian adult contemporary music and worship with trusted Bible teaching, family programs, national news, devotionals, financial guidance, Christian worldview commentary, Southern Gospel, classic CCM, weekend countdowns, and locally focused community ministry. Weekday music includes dedicated praise and Christian classics blocks, while weekends broaden into Southern Gospel, worship, family drama, throwback music, and Christian countdown programming.
